Visit a Hilo Chocolate Farm!
We are growers and makers of 100% single origin, Hawaiian chocolate. We have a 1,000 acre farm located 10 minutes above Downtown Hilo. We believe we’ve got something very special here and would like to share this place with you. E hele mai! E komo mai! You are welcome here!
The Hawaiian word for chocolate is kokoleka. We are proud to be a completely vertically integrated chocolate makers. We grow our cacao and make all of our chocolate right here on the farm. This results in a very distinct flavor that is representative of our terroir. We invite you to come experience our award-winning chocolate firsthand!
We offer a fun Tree-to-Chocolate tour where you’ll get to see our cacao orchards, pick a fresh pod from the trees, walk through our chocolate factory and hang out in our chocolate lounge. The tour is about an hour long, and it’s gotten some great reviews on Yelp. We offer the tour 7 days per week, 4 times per day. If you’d like to book the tour, we recommend booking online or calling ahead. We are happy to accommodate walk-ins but are not able to guarantee availability!
Visitor Center & Gift Shop
In an effort to make our farm available to the public, we are open 7 days a week from 9 am - 5 pm. Our Visitor Center & Gift Shop is warm and inviting. We offer free chocolate samples and a large wrap around lanai (porch) that’s perfect for sitting and enjoying views of Hilo. Some would say it’s the “sweetest view in Hilo.” In our Visitor Center & Gift Shop you’ll find our full line of chocolate and cacao products along with specialty gift items.

Behind the Scenes ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Loved the Lavaloha tour! Met awesome guides whose passions and energy were contagious and learned so much about the origins, current workings and future visions on the 1,000 acre farm. I loved how we got to look behind the scenes on how cacao is processed and eventually made into the awesome-looking and yummy lavaloha chocolate.
