Puueo

Puueo has many tourist attractions besides Mahilani:

The Dolphin Bay Hotel is within walking distance to downtown Hilo, and is a lovely place to stay.

The Inn at Kulaniapia Falls is has a wide range of accommodations near a spectacular waterfall.

OK Farms primary products are macadamia nuts and tropical fruits. It also has views of lovely waterfalls.

The Puueo area was bought in the 1860s from the Hawaiian kingdom, and was mostly used for growing sugar cane until the 1980's. The area runs from sea level to almost 2400'.
